Medical Device Prototypes
Functional Prototypes for Regulatory Testing
A medical device company developing a new surgical instrument needed functional prototypes for ergonomic testing with surgeons. The prototypes required specific material properties and dimensional accuracy.
We produced the prototypes in medical-grade materials suitable for handling studies. Each iteration incorporated surgeon feedback on grip geometry, weight distribution, and control placement. Dimensional accuracy was maintained within ±0.1mm for critical interfaces.
The iterative prototyping process reduced their design cycle from 18 months to 8 months. The final design received positive feedback in user studies and is now progressing toward regulatory submission.
